Who is UNT ProLearning?
Support for UNT ProLearning course offerings is provided by two teams: UNT Professional Development Experience (PDX) & UNT Workplace Inclusion and Sustainable Employment (WISE)
When are we open for questions & support?
Our general hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Course instructors are available for assistance during these service hours. When the University of North Texas is closed for holidays, our offices will be closed as well.
What are "Open Enrollment" or "Self-Paced" courses?
The registrant will receive immediate access to the course content, and can progress through the course material at their own speed and schedule. Completion of these courses is predetermined based on certain criteria that is met as the learner progresses through the course.
What are "Instructor-Led" or "Facilitated" courses?
These courses include a dedicated instructor, and provide the opportunity for learners to directly engage with the instructor(s). Please review the course description to assess if there are established meeting times, or if all contact will occur online asynchronously. Assignments in instructor-led courses have due dates and will be manually graded by the instructor.
What are "prerequisites"?
Some courses require specific courses or requirements be completed PRIOR to enrolling in the course. Any prerequisites will be listed in the course description.
What are the prerequisites for UNT WISE Employment Credential courses?
Director - None
Job Skills Training - None
Job Placement - An active Job Skills Training credential
Supported Employment - An active Job Placement credential
Work Readiness - Completion of at least 60 college credit hours, an active Job Skills Training credential, and an active Job Placement credential
Autism Endorsement - An active Job Skills Training credential, an active Job Placement credential, and the completion of the RELIAS Academy Autism specialization courses ($299). Proof that the participant holds the following can be used as a substitute for the RELIAS courses:
- Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Doctorate (BCBA-D)
Blind Premium Endorsement - the completion of NRTC Improving Business Development Skills: A Training for Rehabilitation Professionals**, and Advice for VR Professionals: Evidence for Effective Meetings with Employers
**Minimum requirement for this course training: complete 5 modules and obtain 11 out of the total 17.25 CEUs.
