Treating customers respectfully is a crucial part of an employment service provider's role. When customers are treated disrespectfully, building a working relationship based on trust becomes impossible. Consequently, the customer loses an opportunity to transition to employment. Further, the provider loses the chance to help customers reach their employment goals and increase their impact on the field of disability employment services.  This webinar will examine many crucial aspects of building and maintaining positive, professional customer relationships.

Objectives

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Communicate with customers professionally, whether verbally in-person, via telephone, text, and/or phone.
  2. Actively listen to customers to help identify the customer's interests and find an employment opportunity that aligns with their interests and goals.
  3. Identify and avoid unprofessional behaviors, particularly breach of confidentiality.
  4. Create professional boundaries with customers.
