  Back to General

Computers are an essential tool both at home and in the workplace, but they can be difficult to access for people with vision impairments. Luckily, computers in the modern age come equipped with good built-in accessibility tools that can allow people with vision impairments, whether low vision or blind, to use them effectively. In this course we will explore the tools built-in to Windows 10, including magnification, contrast enhancement, text-to-speech features, mouse pointer and text cursor enhancement, screen reader options and more. You will discover how easy it is to access and enable these features, and how they are used by people with vision impairments to make their computers accessible!

Objectives

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Find the accessibility options in Windows 10.
  2. Identify which features are relevant to people with vision loss.
  3. Understand what each vision accessibility feature does.
  4. Know where to find further resources.
