This self-study CE is designed for play therapists interested in furthering their understandings of the complexity of play therapy in practice. The Advanced Play Therapy text addresses the integration of play therapy skills into practice. Various challenges to the play therapy process are explored in-depth, and case examples are provided to contextualize content. Essential components of the play therapy process, including parent consultation, play themes, and assessing for therapeutic progress, are operationalized to support immediate application into practice.

In order to complete the exam, it is required to read the book Advanced Play Therapy: Essential Conditions, Knowledge, and Skills for Child Practice. If you already have the book associated with this CE exam, you can take this exam without purchasing the book again. After reading the book, you will complete a 81 question multiple choice exam. 18 non-contact continuing education hours will be awarded upon achieving 80% pass rate on exam. 18 non-contact CE hours. For the purpose of Criteria Verification Forms for RPT Credentialing Applications, this training covers 1 hour history, 14 hours seminal or historically significant theories, 2 hours skills & methods, and 1 hour special topics.
Learning Objectives
