About the presenter:
Lucy Gafford, M.S., CRC, is the Director of UNT WISE, a training and consultancy program within the College of Health and Public Service at the University of North Texas. She holds a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Lucy brings over 11 years of experience from the Texas state Vocational Rehabilitation agency, where she served in roles including transition counselor, program specialist, and area manager. Her passion for mentoring and training is evident through her decade-long service as an adjunct professor in Rehabilitation and Health Services. Lucy actively collaborates with businesses to advance diversity initiatives and serves on UNT’s Neurodiversity Advisory Committee, striving to improve post-secondary outcomes for neurodivergent students. She is also a board member of Texas APSE, advocating for Employment First principles and better employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
