Did you know that nearly 240 million children in the world today have some form of disability? Developing Opportunities for Youth with Disabilties is an engaging webinar focused on practical ways to support youth with disabilities at home, in the community, and in the work place. Families, community members, employers all play a role in creating spaces where young people with disabilities can grow, feel included, and reach their full potential. This session will offer simple, effective strategies to help youth build confidence, develop independence, and prepare for adulthood. About the presenter:

Dr. Lakeiah Cheatham is an educator of 26 years with experience as a general and special education teacher, campus administrator, and EdTech professional learning leader. Continuous improvement of self and looking for opportunities to develop the lives of others using effective research-based teaching/learning practices is the best way to describe her. When she is not cultivating the minds of educators, students, and/or communities; time is well spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
