We will be exploring the mental health challenges that an individual may face while coping with a disability in the workplace. We will be considering grief and loss associated with an individual's identity and capabilities.


Objectives

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to


1.    Understand the different stages of grief and loss.
2.    Understand the impact in the workplace while dealing with disabilities.
3.    Learn healthy coping skills to alleviate distress.


About the presenter:

Dr. Christian A. Henry, LPC, NCC, is the CEO of M.O.S.H. Counseling Services PLLC and a professor of Counseling at East Texas A&M University. In addition to being a licensed counselor, she is pursuing certification in grief counseling while also serving as a speaker and advocate. Her research centers on the mental health impact of police brutality on Black males, a passion inspired by the tragic loss of her friend Jonathan Price. As a first-generation graduate, she made history as the first African American under 30 to earn a doctorate from East Texas A&M, completing her studies with a 4.0 GPA in 2023. Throughout her career, Dr. Henry has held leadership roles in state and university counseling associations, earning recognition with awards such as the MLK Humanitarian and Social Justice Award. Beyond her professional work, she remains deeply engaged in her community through service, advocacy, and membership in organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, NAACP, TCA, and TABPHE.
