Provider Acknowledgment:
Upon purchase, providers acknowledge that their information (name, credential ID, zip code, city, and credential dates) will be published on the TWC-VR Credential Verification Searchable Portal. Additionally, UNT WISE is required under its contract with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to collect and report participant information, which may include contact details, payment method, course completion records, test scores, instructor information, and credential or endorsement renewal data in accordance with our Data Use & Disclosure Policy. PRE-REQUISITE (JPS) Required!
This is a required course for Work Readiness (VAT) Trainers who provide services for TWS-VRS referrals. You must have the Job Placement Credential before registering for this course. Work Readiness comprises Vocational Adjustment Training (VAT), which is designed to provide you the skills and knowledge to effectively assist a customer to become work and job ready. As VAT requires a vast amount of knowledge and skill, a variety of activities and assignments are utilized to reinforce learning. Feedback will be provided to each participant to help them hone their skills to meet the Texas Vocational Rehabilitation Program (VR) service delivery requirements for VAT.
Fee: $336
Per SFP 13.2.3, Vocational Adjustment Trainers must meet the following qualifications:
- Completion of at least 60 college credit hours; and
- Job Placement Credential from UNT WISE.
The course is a 6-week, facilitator-led course, that is not self-paced. This course has assignments that will be due weekly. The participant must complete all of the required coursework and earn the required points before the Final Test will open. The participant must complete the Final Test with a score of 75% or higher to successfully complete the course.
Participants who do not earn the required point will not have access to the Final Test.
