As juvenile justice remains a pivotal topic in national debates, the joint efforts beginning in 1997 by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention underscore the intense interest in tackling the challenges of rehabilitating and reintegrating these young individuals.
