Clear and effective communication is crucial for building strong working relationships and fostering a truly inclusive workplace. This session addresses understanding various types of communication, some of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities as it relates to workplace communication and provides strategies for overcoming them.
Objectives
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Define and differentiate between various communication types and identify some of the common barriers to effective workplace communication.
- Identify and explain common communication challenges specifically faced by individuals with disabilities (IWDs) in various workplace settings and strategies for self-advocacy.
- Develop and implement inclusive communication strategies to effectively interact with and engage IWDs in the workplace.

With a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Prairie View A&M, a Master's in Educational Administration from Texas A&M Commerce, and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Abilene Christian University, Stefani possesses a robust academic background and expertise in leadership and communication.
