The use of sound ethical guidelines is critical in the employment process as the job seeker with a disability relies on the knowledge and expertise of the employment provider to guide many decisions. This presentation focuses on disclosure issues related to work. Grounded in legislation and policy, disclosure of a disability is a consideration throughout a person’s job experience. This impacts how services are marketed, job development practices, and direct communication with the employer. The session will share information to guide a person through decision-making, pros and cons, and employer concerns.
