This course will assist participants in understanding the social aspects of employment. The social do’s and don’ts of working on-site. 

Participants will be able to help their clients build positive relationships that may be used for continued success after the individual may have exited the program, or agency. (examples of training methods for employers, holding “get to know me” sessions to ensure the company and its staff are familiar with the needs of the individual. 

Presenters will touch on how to get the family involved either on site or at home to ensure that the individuals complete circle is involved in the employment process.


Objectives

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to

  1. Perform on site job skills training that will set up for a potential fade in ES job skills training to natural supports 
  2. Train and work with employers and staff to best assist the individual in the workplace.
  3. Assist clients and individuals with recognizing work culture and helping them adjust to their specific work culture.
  4. Set up clients for future success after working with the program, agency, or training, creating natural relationships from work.

About the presenters:

Damar Reed is an Employment Specialist with a B.S in Psychology from Aurora University. 

ES Reed has been an Employment specialist for 6 years.
