This course is pre-approved for 1 hour of CRCC (Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification) continuing education clock hours if taken between 6/05/24 and 6/05/25!
Most of this webinar will be focused on the ethics behind CIE and ethical principles and practices such as Dignity of Risk, Informed Choice, Self-Determination, Cultural Competency, and Cultural Humility.
This module will include content that incorporates the following CRCC Codes of Ethics:

- C.1.b. Advocacy: Empowerment
- C.1.c. Advocacy: Organizational Advocacy
- C.1. f Advocacy: Areas of Knowledge and Competency
- L.1.c Knowledge of Ethical Standards and the Law
Objectives
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Understand the elements of Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) and the societal significance of CIE
- Learn key legislation and advocacy efforts that led to CIE
- Introduction to CIE outcomes and best practices

Britni (Brit) Miles has 13+ years of experience in the field of employment supports for people with disabilities as a Program Architect, Contracted Corporate Consultant, Program Manager, and Direct Support Professional placing and coaching individuals in community jobs out of facility-based environments. Brit facilitates training in best practices of Competitive, Integrated, Employment for Community Rehabilitation Providers, state agencies, and other stakeholders. Brit is a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) and the Texas Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) Founding Chapter President.
