  Back to General

This webinar topic is all about how providers and educators in higher education can support students who are neurodivergent through accommodations. Attendees will learn the federal mandates and accommodation timelines to gain an understanding of where accommodations started and why they are important. Additionally, attendees will learn what accommodations are, how they change from primary and secondary education to post-secondary education, and assessments used to identify accommodations. Then, from a higher education standpoint, attendees will learn how students within UNT can apply for accommodations and what is required of students each semester to keep those accommodations in place. Lastly, we will discuss different types of accommodations, both federally and non-federally mandated.
